The Fountaindale Public Library Genealogy Club is back from summer break! Our September meeting featured Ginger Frere and her presentation of Mining the National Archives. This was a great program, and we had a full house of 40 people attending the lecture! If you missed our program the recording is available through October 13.

Don’t forget to sign up for a username and password for Try-It Illinois 2017! This is an annual free database trial sponsored by Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White and the Illinois State Library. The trial runs from Sunday, October 1 through Thursday, November 30. You can sign up for a free username and password on the site, or pick up a paper copy from our library beginning Monday, October 2, 2017. I’ll post a blog about this year’s trial in the next few days.
